The Data Challenge
The client needed consistent, accessible information across its global operations. Business data was scattered across PeopleSoft, Oracle Fusion, internal applications, and external sources. This led to fragmented reporting and heavy manual effort. Complicating things further, the organization was mid-transition from PeopleSoft to Oracle Fusion, and needed a data foundation that could support both systems without disrupting reporting along the way.
What BDP Did
BDP designed and built a new cloud data warehouse on AWS and Snowflake, bringing ERP, operational, and external data into one centralized, governed environment. We worked directly with business teams to understand how the data was used, define shared business rules, and ensure the platform supported real decision-making, not just data storage. BDP wasn’t responsible for the ERP migration itself; our job was making sure the data warehouse could support both PeopleSoft and Oracle Fusion throughout the transition.
Successful Results
- Established a centralized source of trusted business information
- Supported reporting continuity through the ERP transition
- Reduced dependence on disconnected extracts and spreadsheets
- Improved consistency across business measures and reporting
- Created a scalable foundation for Power BI and future analytics
Successful completion of this project led to Case Study #2. They trusted us and hired us for the next project. This is the key to how BDP has grown.
